How It Works
Visit their website to shop policies, get your questions answered, and enroll your pet in coverage. After enrolling your dog or cat in a Healthy Paws plan, customers must wait 15 days after the policy effective date to file their first claim. Special conditions, including hip dysplasia, may be covered after an extended waiting period of 12 months. With Health Paws, customers can take their pet to any licensed veterinarian, specialist, or pet hospital whenever their pet is injured or ill. After paying for treatments, customers submit an invoice to initiate the claims process. In most cases, claims will be processed within 10 days and reimbursements will be issued, in most cases, within 24 hours.
Claims and invoices may be submitted via Healthy Paws’s customer center, mobile app, email, fax, for standard mail. Initial claims must be submitted with the pet’s full medical records and may take up to 10 days to process.
